MY SCHEDULE: ....I hope this update finds you in good health and spirits. Well, it's officially summer and it reminds me of a Stevie Wonder album title: "Hotter Than July". It rained and rained and now it's just hot! I had hoped that I would be reporting that I got the new Friday night gig at the restaurant, South Gate, but unfortunately I didn't. My room-mate got the opportunity to see modern day racism at first hand. It seems that the city's straight night life is being ran by Europeans who do not favor American DJ's. And they seem to have preconceived notions about Black American DJ's. At first, I felt bad, but then I decided that I am not going to let this break my spirit. I am a good, experienced DJ and someone out there is going to appreciate that. So, I have quickly started looking for other gigs. But on a positive note, I just completed the vocals for a new Jade Elektra track. I am writing again and working on a couple of projects that I will fill you in on later. My Pride week was fabulous! I went to the Out Music Concert & Awards. Jade Elektra performed at The Cage. I also attended the HX Awards this year. I walked the red carpet at both events (Thank you, Lovari). And I finally took the plunge and joined facebook. My brother and my manager kept telling me that I needed to join, but I was just turned off by all the stories of endless e-mails of mindless daily activities being posted every minute. It can be done. So, believe in yourself and believe in the goodness in the world. Thank you to all of you who have supported me over the years. I am very blessed to have you in my life. Remember the kindness that we show each other is not in vain. Those with evil intentions in their heart will not prosper. Send some love to a complete stranger today.
